dalMap is publicly available to use. Share feedback about what works well, what could be better, or a problem you encounter.
If something is not behaving, support and troubleshooting works through it with you — with an AI assistant, or on your own.
Map context
Basemap names and boundaries follow OpenStreetMap and may differ from local or official usage. They do not imply a position or endorsement by dalMap. Activity locations use wording supplied by the listed radio source and identify radio sites, not sovereignty.
Report a basemap issueData context
Live records are the latest observations dalMap has received, not proof that a local or remote operator is active or available now. Source reporting, application processing, and network transit can delay, omit, or reorder a record. Beacon activity and satellite positions are calculated by dalMap; they are not direct observations from a source.
Data sources and termsHow to read the map
Select a marker for its source, age, and details. Open Map tools to choose activity, operating context, and planning features, and set My station to use grid-relative tools. Calculated overlays provide operating context, not guaranteed propagation or coverage.
Terms
dalMap is source-available. Operators, clubs, and groups may use it, link to it, and show it publicly for anything that is not commercial. Its static reference data may be re-used with attribution.
Preferences
dalMap stores map preferences, including display units, selected layers, observed-activity watch choices, your entered grid locator, and your entered station callsign, in a browser cookie so reconnects and restarts preserve your setup. Alert state and cooldowns stay in this open page session. Browser GPS coordinates are not stored; only the grid locator is saved.
Imported ADIF files are reduced locally to worked callsigns, bands, four-character grids, and reference numbers. Raw QSOs are not uploaded or placed in the preference cookie. Use Forget imported log in Map tools to remove the derived browser data.
